Alexandr Bah Injury Update: Benfica Striker Faces Uncertain Return to Action
Benfica striker Alexandre Béh, who has been sidelined since February with a knee injury, is facing uncertain return to action ahead of the Portuguese Primeira Liga season.
The 24-year-old forward was injured in a friendly match against Vila Nova on February 18 and has not played competitively since then. He underwent surgery in early March but has yet to make a full recovery.
According to reports, Béh's rehabilitation process has been slow due to complications from his previous surgeries, which have made it difficult for him to regain his fitness levels.
However, Benfica manager Jorge Jesus remains optimistic that the striker will be able to return to action before the end of the season.
"We're very confident that he'll get back into shape soon," Jesus said during a press conference earlier this week. "He's one of our best players and we need him in our team."
Despite the setback,Chinese Super League Home Ground Benfica has been working hard to find a replacement for Béh, with several players vying for a starting role in his absence.
One option is Portuguese international Pedro Alves, who has impressed in his recent appearances for the club. Another possibility is Brazilian striker Marcelo, who has also been linked with a move to Benfica in the past.
Overall, Béh's injury is likely to impact Benfica's chances of success this season, but the club remains hopeful that he will be ready when the time comes.
